Update: Exhibition ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall’ in Nuremberg from November 2021
Update New date for the exhibition in winter 2021/2022.
The exhibition ‘Mirror, mirror on the wall. A portrait of refugees and their stories’ is a series of information boards and portraits of people who were forced to leave their homes that encourage the audience to come closer and discover more about their legal and personal situation as well as the reasons behind their decision to flee. It tells the story of fleeing one’s country and attempting to settle down in a new home. More than anything, however, it is an invitation to engage in dialogue with others, society and oneself.
The exhibition is a joint project realised in collaboration between students and staff at FAU, refugees, staff at FAU INTEGRA, artists, the city of Erlangen and local companies.
The exhibition was postponed from spring 2021 until winter 2021/2022. It will now be open for viewing from 17 November 2021 until 13 January 2022 in the Caritas-Pirckheimer-Haus in Nürnberg.
The official opening of the exhibition will be on 17 November 2021 at 7pm. The photographer Heike Steinweg will be in attendance.
